If You Ain’t FIRST You’re Last

Coming up with a unique birthday theme is always a challenge because there are so many ideas already out there. For my daughter as much as I didn’t want to do “Wild One” for her first birthday I had to do it because that was her nursery theme and she was obsessed with animals! So I decided I wanted to go a little more out of the box for my son’s first birthday this month and it ended up going along with his nursery theme, which is cars, transportation and adventure. My son and daughter both love cars and my husband and I love the movie Talladega Nights so our final theme was, “If you ain’t FIRST, you’re last!”

The decorations were super easy and basically all nascar racing themed. We had an entrance path way to our pool with checkered flags and orange cones as if the guest were racers lining up at the starting line. Everything was black and white checkered with pops of red! Our little man even road into his party on his new little Range Rover! All of the kids loved the theme and the parents were impressed with the decorations, outfits and seeing it all come together. Personally I loved our family outfits and the goodie bags the best! I am linking everything below 🙂
